甜甜的母亲留着泪回忆说：
当时我横下一条心，
哪怕赌上命也要给女儿做手术！
我连自杀的药都买好了，
手术失败我就一起死！
甜甜的肿瘤紧紧挨着肝动脉，
手术难度极大，
稍有不慎就会引起大出血
很有可能下不了手术台就死亡！
很多人劝吴孟超，
别人都不敢切，
你切了，万一出了事，
你一辈子的名誉可就没有了！
吴孟超却只认“人命关天”！
在《朗读者》中，
董卿问了同样的问题，
可爱的他笑着回答：
我不过就是一个吴孟超嘛，
名誉，那算啥？
进手术室之前，
母亲紧紧抓住甜甜的手不舍得放，
甜甜也哭着说：
这恐怕是今生最后一面了！
吴孟超则弯下腰轻声说：
“不要紧张，你醒来的时候，
我们都在你身边，
甜甜，你一定会好！”
两天后，甜甜从昏迷中苏醒，
这时她才知道，
82岁的吴爷爷，
整整为她做了10个小时手术
才将那个重达9斤的瘤子切下来。

甜甜在给吴爷爷写的信中说：
医院都不接受我、
切除不了我的肿瘤的时候，
是您不顾众人反对，毅然主刀！
年9月24日早上8点到晚上6点，
手术整整十个小时！

早已完全康复的甜甜选择在9月24号
这个让她重获新生的日子，
和她心爱的人携手走上了红毯，
成为了新娘！
“谢谢”这两个字，

在医院门口，
经常有人一见到吴孟超就扑通一声跪下，
递上带来的CT片。
90多岁的吴老就举着CT在太阳底下站着，
一看就是半个多小时，
然后朗声道：
“还有救，来住院吧！”
病人家属无不欣喜若狂，
泪流满面！
有一个细节很令人感动：
吴孟超给病人检查前，
总会先把手搓热。
每次为病人做完检查，
他都帮他们把衣服拉好、把腰带系好。
90多岁的他，
查房时最经常做的一件事是
弯下腰把病人的鞋子
放到最容易穿的地方。
他说：“对医生而言，这仅是举手之劳，
可对病人来讲，
这不光是内心的温暖，
还有康复的信心。”
来找吴老看病的患者，
大多数都患有肝炎，
这是会传染的！
但吴老总是紧紧拉着患者，
轻轻拍他们的手、摸摸他们的头，

贴着病人的额头试体温。
很多次，吴孟超的手一摸到病人的脑门上，
病人的眼泪“刷”就掉了下来。
“一个人得了肝癌，
整个家庭往往都垮了。
跟病人多说句话，
跟他握握手，就能给他和全家人信心。”
这是吴老查房时被拍到的一幕——
当吴老仔细询问完病人的情况，
准备转身离开时，
患者突然拉住吴老，
轻轻起身，深情地吻了他的手！
吴老显然对这个
突如其来的吻有些意外，
让人感动的是，这位90多岁的老医生，
转身抱着病人的头，
在患者的脸颊下，
轻轻地回吻了一下！
若不是有着托付生命的感谢和恩情，
怎会让最不善表达的国人

吴孟超的父亲、母亲
年，吴孟超出生于
福建省闽清县白樟乡后垄村。
父亲在他三岁时就“下南洋”谋出路去了。
五岁时，母亲才带着他和弟弟
一起来到马来西亚。
父亲非常有经商头脑，从开荒的苦力到经营福建米线，攒了一笔钱后又买下一块地开始种植橡胶林，懂事的吴孟超很快成为割胶能手。吴孟超的父亲是个有远见、有头脑的人，他非常明白让孩子成为一个有用的人，唯一的方法就是好好读书。少年吴孟超年，12岁的吴孟超在光华学校上了中学，这所由马来西亚华侨创办的爱国学校。年，全面抗战爆发，老师们在课堂上讲日军的侵略，讲国内的抗战，老师们讲得热泪盈眶，吴孟超和同学们听得义愤填膺、热血沸腾！年，吴孟超即将中学毕业，
他号召同学们一起捐款，
通过爱国人士陈嘉庚把捐款送到延安！
让吴孟超意外和惊喜的是，
他们竟然收到了

可令吴孟超没想到的是，
与母亲这一别，竟是永诀……
年，吴孟超回国时光华中学开具的介绍信
经过一个多月的颠沛流离，
吴孟超终于到了昆明。
由于日军和国民党的封锁，
吴孟超不仅去不了延安，
还断了跟家里的联系、断了经济来源！
只能靠自己的打拼求生、求学！
当时的昆明，
几乎聚集了中国所有的名牌大学，
几番思考之后，吴孟超
决定报考同济大学医学院，
学医救国！
年，抗战终于胜利，
吴孟超的父亲不远万里
从马来西亚回国寻找儿子。
父亲的态度很明确：
要吴孟超跟他回马来西亚。
一心选择学医的吴孟超
倔强地拒绝了父亲。
父亲几乎是带着绝望离开的，
这一次不愉快的见面，
成了父子俩最后的相见！
送走了父亲，
吴孟超随同济大学一起回到了上海！
在上海，他遇到了改变他一生命运的恩师
——从德国留学归来的
著名医学家裘法祖！
吴孟超大学毕业后，
被通知留校做儿科医生。
他强烈地表达自己想去外科的愿望，
医务部主任不耐烦了，说道：
“也不看看你多高，
一米六二的个头儿，
站在手术台上能行吗？”
就在吴孟超沮丧的时候，
中国人民解放军华东军区卫生部招聘医生，
主考官郑宝琦看了他的简历，
听了他迫切想当外科医生的愿望，
当场破格录取了他。
吴孟超激动得泪流满面，
他终于成为第二军医大学的医生！
让他兴奋不已的是，年，学校聘请裘法祖为兼职教授，
吴孟超得以再次师从裘法祖。
一天晚饭后，
他请教老师今后该向哪个方向努力？
裘法祖说：
我国的肝脏外科几乎是一片空白，
你可以朝这个方向发展。
从此，吴孟超开始与肝脏外科结缘。
年，吴孟超和他的战友
一起攻下了新中国第一部
肝胆外科的翻译著作。
也是在这一年，
父亲患了胆石症，
在马来西亚两次手术均告失败，
不幸病逝。
噩耗传来，吴孟超痛不欲生。
此时，他已在肝胆外科领域小有成就，
完成了几个高难度的肝胆手术。
如果能亲自为父亲施行手术，
胆石症完全可以治愈。
吴孟超第一次感到
身不由己的无奈和痛苦，
也更加激励他探索肝脏的奥秘！
上个世纪50年代末，
肝脏的内部结构是一个无人知晓的谜。
肝脏手术更是无人问津的生命禁区，
制作一个真正的肝脏血管模型，
成为研究肝脏的关键！
吴孟超和同事们
两年间一共解剖了多个肝脏，
实验了上百种材料，
都没有成功！
年，在容国团夺得世界冠军的那一刻，
吴孟超除了喜悦和激动，
他突发奇想，
能不能用乒乓球做原料，
把它先溶解成液体，
在浇灌到肝脏血管里。
经过几次尝试，
肝脏血管构架终于像珊瑚一样
呈现在面前。

开启了吴孟超向肝胆外科进军的历程。

吴孟超创造了中国医学界
乃至世界医学肝胆外科领域的
无数个第一：
他主刀完成了我国第一例成功的肝脏手术，
他翻译了第一部中文版的肝脏外科入门专著，
他制作了中国第一具肝脏血管的铸型标本，
他创造了间歇性肝门阻断切肝法和常温下无血切肝法，
他完成了世界上第一例中肝叶切除手术，
他也切除了迄今为止世界上最大的、重达36斤的肝海绵状血管瘤，
他完成了世界上第一例在腹腔镜下直接摘除肝脏肿瘤的手术
……
比父亲幸运的是，
母亲看到了吴孟超的成就。
自18岁那年在码头上与母亲挥别，
吴孟超一生再未见过母亲。
起初是由于战乱，新中国成立后，
吴孟超成为军人，
赴国外探亲有所不便。
接着，便是各式各样的政治运动，
吴孟超的海外关系
又成为遭受攻击的靶子。
改革开放后，
吴孟超才恢复了与海外家人的联系。
年，弟弟首先回国探亲，
兄弟俩人在机场相见，
当场抱头痛哭。
吴孟超让弟弟给
老母亲带去了一双绣花鞋和一付玉镯，
老母亲看到了儿子拍摄的录像和礼物，
知道儿子生活得不错，
悬了半个世纪的心，
才终于放下了！
仅几天后，
母亲在睡梦中驾鹤西去，
给吴孟超留下了终生的遗憾。
年春节，吴孟超和老伴
一起回到阔别多年的第二故乡
——马来西亚小城诗巫。
少小离家老大回，
年逾古稀的吴孟超精神有些恍惚，
仿佛回到了少年时代。
吴孟超终于见到53年未见的亲人，
也终于在父母的墓前上了一炷香！
18岁一别，再见已是阴阳两隔！
71岁的吴孟超再也忍不住，
泪水一次次模糊了他的眼镜，
任眼泪在脸上纵横！

美誉送给吴孟超！
在《朗读者》节目中，
这位96岁的老军医幽默地说：
手，比脸重要！
也许你不敢相信，
吴老的手在写字的时候都是颤抖的，
可神奇的是，
只要他拿起手术刀，
那双连写字都微微抖动的手，
就变成一双像长了眼睛的神手，
从容不迫，出神入化！
——所有人都只能看到满眼的红色，
但吴孟超的手可以直接伸进去，
代替眼睛游刃有余地选中血管一掐，
血当即就会止住。
年，为了这一双神手，
日本一家电视台派出了由
顶级摄影师和录音师组成的豪华阵容，
来到医院，
记录一场特殊的手术！
这是一台切除肝癌的手术，
手术进行了五个小时，
日本记者也拍了五个小时，
最后，吴老从一个四个月大的婴儿体内，
切除了一个肿瘤，
肿瘤居然比婴儿的头还要大，
而婴儿的肝脏，完好无损！

这台手术的成功，让全世界震惊！
这名女孩儿叫朱丽娜
23年后，长大的朱丽娜学了护理专业，
医院里当了护士！
在吴老的眼中，
如果一个医生对病人不负责任，
那就失去了做医生的基本资格。
因为作为医生，
就是要一切为病人服务！
吴孟超对收红包、拿药品回扣的事，
最深恶痛绝，
为了给病人省钱，
他甚至给医生们定了不少规矩：
如果Ｂ超能解决问题，
决不让病人去做ＣＴ或核磁共振；
如果病人带来的片子能诊断清楚，
决不让他们做第二次检查；
能用普通消炎药，
决不用高档抗生素；
吴老最反对用缝合器械给病人缝针，
他说：咔嚓一声，多元就没了，
那可是农村孩子几年的学费!
我就主张用手缝线，
分文不要！
医院，
肝癌手术所有费用不过２万元左右。
一位卖了房产来求医的病人接到账单时感慨：
“没想到大上海会有这么低的收费！”
吴老说：我是一个医生，
学的是治病救人，
医院更是治病救人的，
怎么能想着从病人身上捞钱？
从吴老第一次拿起手术刀到今天，
已经70多年了，
平均一年台的手术，
万名病人，
因为他而脱离了生命的绝境。
他的眼前是病，心底是人，
他总说：“我想背着每一位病人过河。”

您叹口气说，力气越来越少了。
如果哪一天我真的在手术室里倒下了，
你知道我是爱干净的，
记住给我擦干净，
不要让别人看见我，
一脸汗的样子。
96岁的吴孟超不舍得放下手术刀，
他说，我的身体还可以，
还能救更多的人；
我还希望能多带学生、多教年轻人！
年，吴孟超将个人积蓄30万元
和社会捐赠共万元
成立“吴孟超肝胆外科医学技术基金”；
6年，他又把国家最高科技奖的万奖金，
全部用于科学研究和人才培养。
“我的平台有了，
接班人也有了，我的心就定了。”
吴孟超用一生
将自己作为医者的准则和坚守，
告诉所有人，
医生究竟该是一个怎样的人：
孩子们，这世界上不缺乏专家，
不缺乏权威，缺乏的是一个“人”
——一个肯把自己给出去的人。
他更是用一生的奉献和付出，
谆谆告诫年轻的学医者：
孩子们，让别人去享受“人上人”的荣耀，
我只祈求你们善尽“人中人”的天职。
